Regional Sales Manager

Job Description:

Accomplishes regional sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, 

  • Designs and recommends sales and marketing programs and sets long- and short-term sales strategies.
  • Oversees the sale of an organization's products or services in a specified district. and disciplining employees in assigned districts; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Sources and selects dealers and other distributors.
  •  Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts.

    Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.

  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.

    Maintaining and increasing sales of company's products

    Reaching the targets and goals set for each area

    Servicing the needs of your existing customers

    Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market

    Setting sales targets for individual representatives and your

    Developing sales strategies and setting targets for each districts

    Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach targets

    Ø Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Job Requirements:

Education:-Minimum BA Degree in Marketing/Management /or any related field of study

  • Experience:- · 6 years FMCG Sales experience in a field sales capacity.

        Demonstrable evidence of having successfully achieved major Sales objectives
      •  Ideally at least 2 year of experience in managing a major customer to achieve sales targets.
      •  Demonstrable evidence of having been successful at growing sales in an assigned territory.
      • REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
      • ·         Knowledge of marketing and sales management principles; customer relationship and brand management.

        ·         Cultural empathy with people in all regions of Ethiopia.

        ·         The ability to inspire customers and colleagues to go the extra mile.

        ·         A good relationship builder.

        ·         Results driven, people-oriented.

        ·         Possessing excellent interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills.

        ·         A competent coach and developer of people

        ·         Knowledge of the soap and detergent products industry

        ·         Able to use Office Applications

        Good command of Amharic, English and preferably other languages also.
